Students will wait in the lobby, then will be called in individually for their audition time. We will introduce ourselves, chat with the student, listen to their prepared song, and ask any questions we may have, as well as answer any the student may have, as well. Each audition will not last longer than 5-8 minutes. Callbacks will be on an as-needed basis. If your student is not called back, it does not mean that they will not be cast in the show or even in a principle role. It just means that we saw everything we needed to see from them in order to place them.
Rehearsals will be Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays weekly, as well as one Saturday per month. We will provide a conflict calendar for families to list any conflicts they have and will create a detailed call list for each rehearsal based off of what we plan to cover and our performers’ availability. That said, all performers will be called for most of the rehearsals. We believe that balance is important and students should have plenty of time to spend with family, friends, other classes and activities, but we expect that students who are cast in this production make rehearsals priority and continue working on their blocking, music, choreography, and scripts outside of rehearsal, as well.
