Lowcountry Continuum of Care
The Point-in-Time Count helps identify the housing and service needs of the homeless population in our community. Volunteers will be assigned to a team to help count and administer surveys to homeless persons living on the streets and in emergency shelters. We count because we HAVE to understand homelessness in our community in order to end it. The Point-In-Time Count provides vital information required by HUD to fund solutions and strategies in the ongoing fight to end homelessness.
Volunteers are vital to the success of the count!
Volunteer Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the count on January 22nd, 2020.
- Interact with and survey people experiencing homelessness in a safe and respectful manner
- Pass out hygiene kits to survey participants
Volunteers must attend a training prior to the Count on January 22nd.
- If you cannot attend a training on one of the dates below, please email [email protected]
