United Way of Central Missouri Early Childhood Initiative
Thank you to the United Way of Central Missouri's Early Childhood Initiative for making this series with Velda McKenzie, Conscious Discipline Certified Instructor, available at no cost to participants!
The first three years of life are a period of incredible brain growth. The way we respond to the needs of infants and toddlers will help or inhibit them from forming healthy life patterns. In this session caregivers, educators and families will be provided with relationship-based skills. Skills built on safety through attunement and connection through attachment. You will leave with strategies that are necessary to give our youngest children the best possible start in life.
This sign up is for early childhood educators, childcare providers and parents of children 0-5 who live and work in Camden, Cole, Maries, Miller, Moniteau, Morgan, Osage, Phelps and southern Callaway Counties. There are a limited number of spots are available and all participants MUST be registered in advance in order to attend. If you have registered and later discover that you are unable to attend, please cancel your reservation so that someone else may take your place. If all spots have been filled or you work with an older age group and you would like to be added to the waiting list in case a spot becomes available, please contact Theresa Verslues at [email protected]
Participants desiring child care clock hours must sign with their MOPDID number and be present for the full session in order to receive their 2 clock hours. (Visit www.openinitiative.com to look up your number if you do not remember what it is). If you are a parent or work with young children in a capacity that does not require you to have a MOPDID (such as a CASA volunteer or public school preschool teacher) please indicate your role instead in the spot where you are asked to provide the MOPDID.
While we love children, we want all attendees to be able to focus their attention on the presenter so please arrange for care for your child.
Please watch your email the day prior to the session for details such as training location and health and safety precautions to be taken.
