President - PTO (2)

Desire to serve the WES PTO, the school, and ultimately the students. Willingness to delegate tasks and keep overview about all PTO related actions. First contact to principal and school. Cooperation with RTSD.

Vice President - PTO Administration

Assist President with PTO operations and formulate the group’s long-range plan, work out issues as they arise, participate in board discussions and decision making.

 

Vice President - PTO Communication

Coordinate PTO calendar with WES and RTSD staff, create and distribute communication emails through 'Membership Toolkit' online directory. Gather information for the the RTSD newsletter and attend district wide Communication meetings

Treasurer - PTO

Custodian of the PTO’s funds and help develop the budget, collects fundraising money and deposit, writes checks for purchases and reimbursements, track income and spending, make financial reports. Attend PTO meetings.

Chairing responsibilities include establishing a date and working with the school, the Police Department and Ryan Walsh of Bryn Mawr Racing Company.

Cash Back/Rebates Committee Chair

Manage the Box Tops for Educational collections for WES and solicit new sign-ups for the Giant A+ program. This is an easy committee for one or two parents to chair with the majority of work occurring from home on your own time.

Community Outreach Committee Chairs (2)

Work closely with the school guidance counselor and local nonprofit agencies to identify and support individuals and families in need. Organize collection drives various times of the year.

Plan this evening event with about 10-12 tables set up for kids to make holiday and winter-themed crafts. Responsibilities of the chairs includes recruiting volunteers to run each table.

Chairing responsibilities include securing dates and locations for upcoming socials and marketing events through evites and the PTO website. There are 5 grade level socials (one per grade, K-5) in the fall.

Kids Print Publishing Committee Chair

Responsibilities include creating books from original student stories. Any student can submit a story, any time during the school year, and the Kidsprints Committee will craft a book in the chosen size and cover fabric.
