Here is a list of volunteer positions and descriptions for the 2019 Scholastic Rowing Association of America National Championship Regatta.

** When volunteering for a task, you must ensure that you "CHECK IN" at the Command Center prior to your designated shift for your team to be compensated for your volunteer time.

Volunteer will direct team buses to the designated unloading area, after unloading, move to bus parking area, notify shuttle if driver needs transportation

 

Grounds Keeper (2)

Volunteers will be furnished with gloves and golf cart to pick up trash on roadside area and transport trash to dumpsters.

 

Shuttle Driver - Buses

The volunteer shuttle driver will move bus drivers from their parking location to the regatta site and from the regatta site to their bus location.

 

Volunteer Check In Coordinator

The volunteer check-in coordinator will oversee that all volunteers have checked in and will notify teams if volunteers have not shown for their position. They will also direct volunteers to the appropriate area for duties.

Results Post - Finish Line Runner

The finish line runner receives timing results from the finish line staff, takes them to the command center for copies and then posts them on the results board.

Recovery Dock Volunteer (2)

The recovery dock volunteer will ensure all boats recover and exit the recovery area safely.

 

Timing Horn

Responsible for sounding the horn on the referee's command.

Responsible for raising the flag on the referee's command.

 

Finish Line Assistant

General assistant at Finish

 

First Aid (2)

The first aid volunteer needs to be a licensed professional, (nurse, doctor, PA, etc.), and will evaluate athletes. A transport squad will be on site also.

 

Regatta Site Reaction Team (4)

The regatta reaction team makes necessary adjustments/fixes to anything on site to keep the regatta running smoothly which could range from course and dock repair, launch fuel refill, etc.

Stake Boat Holder (16)

The stake boat holder volunteer will assist in aligning shells at the starting docks.
