Youths of middle and high school age are invited to a FREE workshop on the environment and culture around our youth.
The workshop, #YouthCulture: Smart on Social - for Youths, will be held from 6:45 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2021, live via Zoom.
This program is presented by The Poe Center
Teenagers live in a world of choices. In this YOUTH program, participants will dig deeper into understanding safety on phone and computer apps and why it is important to make good choices while using those platforms. This program will cover information about how to critically think when being influenced by the media, how social media affects your health, and how to interpret real news and fake news. Participants will also receive internet safety tips to keep themselves and their families safe.
This program is for YOUTHS 6th grade-12th grade age.
This program is a part of our #YouthCulture Spring Workshop Series. These workshops explore how the developing adolescent brain shapes perceptions and behavior. All participants will receive a free packet of supportive materials and resources. Covered topics will include substance use, Internet safety, sexting, and healthy dating relationships.
