Seven people are dead by Dixon’s hand, including Dixon himself. Now, as his twin sister Mason deals with the aftermath of what he’s done, she must decide how to move on without him, and whether she can -- or should -- forgive him.
Note: Mason, Dixon, and Christopher play the piano at various times during the script. Piano ability is not required for these roles, but if you do play, please be prepared to perform a short piece of music of your choice that demonstrates your level of proficiency.
Mason and Dixon Blanchard (Woman, 23): Twins, best friends, and confidantes. Mason is determined, focused, and confident, whereas Dixon is moody and mercurial, but both are fiercely protective of their younger brother. This is a physically and emotionally challenging double role.
Lewis Blanchard (Boy, 16): A naive, fragile, agoraphobic teenager who will not allow himself to be touched. Lewis idolizes his older siblings and is deeply confused and frustrated about his inability to move on from a past trauma.
Stan Blanchard (Man, 40s-60s): The twins’ and Lewis’s father. Stan is a “cool dad” who wants to believe the best in everyone. He adores his children, but doesn’t know quite as much about them as he thinks he does.
Christopher Glenn (Man, 35): The Blanchards’ music teacher. Christopher is calm, encouraging, and loyal, conflicted over his feelings for Mason.
