Learn 2 Ride
Are you a bike enthusiast? Do you love working with kids? Do you want to teach a child a lifelong skill? WE NEED YOU!
Learn 2 Ride teaches children ages 4+ (and their adult chaperone) easy innovative techniques to get kids riding solo on two wheels! The approach teaches balancing, pedaling and how to stop and steer on a closed course. The MSCR Learn 2 Ride event won a Silver Star for Program Excellence by the Wisconsin Parks and Recreation Association in 2013!
Volunteers are a very important part of this event and we need you! Participants come in waves and stay on your course for 1.5 hours before a new group arrives. Course Trainers will have 2 groups total, with a break in between and training at the beginning. All volunteers will receive an event t-shirt, snacks and leave the event with the knowledge they were a part of something great! PLEASE SIGN UP ONLY WHEN YOU ARE SURE YOU CAN COMMIT!
We have two event dates this year, Sunday, May 5 at Memorial High School and Sunday, May 19 at Warner Park. Sign up for shifts at one or both events!
