Thank you for volunteering to serve during Holy Week. We pray these masses will be fruitful for you and our parish. For each mass, please arrive at least 20 minutes early and dress your best. A deacon will carry in the Book of the Gospels and pray the intentions Holy Thurs.-Easter Vigil. All the masses are trilingual and thus some readings are in English or Spanish, with one being in American Sign Language. Below are some instructions for each mass.

Palm Sunday- Passion Narrative Rehearsal for Palm Sun. and Gd. Friday is Sat., April 13 from 12:30-3:30 pm for 30 minutes per mass time group as follows below in the Mother's Chapel. We may finish early. The rehearsal is required for serving. The Male and Female Speaker will combine to play the Crowd part. The Narrator will be at the ambo, the male and female speaker at the Cantor Stand. Your scripts will be printed and highlighted accordingly at your places in a red binder.  Click here to download the Male-Female-Crowd Script. Click here to download the Narrator Script.

You will join us in the procession and thus you will join us outside for the first part. Stand next to the servers in your usual order. You may sit in lector pew in the Sanctuary. Go right to your places after the second reading; no one will say anything to you to come. You may make your own notes within the script and bring that copy instead to use at Mass. Be sure to put back the original script for the other lectors. The first and second reading will remain with those already scheduled.

Sat. 5:00       12:30-1:00 pm,       7:30 mass- 1:00-1:30 pm

9:30 mass-    1:30-2:00 pm,         11:15 mass-  2:00-2:30 pm

Sun. 5:00:     2:30-3:00 pm          Gd. Friday-     3:00-3:30 pm, All in Mother's Chapel.

Holy Thursday- the readings will be in the Lectionary and as prescribed for the day.

Good Friday- All the readings will be in a red binder. You may process in with us and sit in the lector pew. Go right to your spots after the second reading; no one will say anything. There is no Gospel Procession. The Gospel Passion Narrative Script can be found here. You will need to attend the corresponding rehearsal is Sat., April 13 from 3:00-3:30 pm.

Tenebrae- This is about 35-45 minute liturgy of the hours type prayer as done in years past. There are four readings which are ideally done by four people but we can have each lector do two readings if necessary. Click here for the readings and click here for the full script to see the order of the service. This is a near final draft.

Easter Vigil- You will have limited lighting (spotlight) and so you need to be able to see in low-lighting. You will process in with us and thus join us outside the church. Stand next to the altar servers as usual. When we process in we'll wait by the bust of Bl. Moreau in the Vestibule until all the people have entered the church. Then I'll line everyone up in the Vestibule/Narthex to process in. All the readings will be at the ambo in a white binder.

After each reading will be a psalm and then prayer by the priest before the next reading. After the third reading will be the Gloria, Collect, and then the fourth reading which is the Epistle.

Easter Sunday- Some masses will have a deacon. You'll use the Lectionary as usual.
