Leaders: Peggy Blair and Akiko Yoshida
Becky’s House provides a safe, welcoming residential environment for up to eight senior, disabled women, many of whom have lived on the streets for decades with no place to go. The program provides case management and 24-hour staff for the women living in this home. Each resident is given an ongoing service plan to increase her independence. Residents enjoy field trips to movies, lunch, museums, and other outings. Volunteers help prepare lunch for the residents at Becky's House, serve lunch, and enjoy time talking with the residents at lunch! There is a maximum of six volunteers, so sign up soon! We will be volunteering on Friday, May 3, from 11:15 am to 2:00 pm. We will meet at English Now! at 11:00 am and travel together to Becky's House from there. If you have any further questions, please ask Peggy Blair, Akiko Yoshida, or the EN! office staff.
