Friendship Center Des Moines
Thank you so much for considering us! We are excited for this opportunity to meet you and have you serve our community. This is a great ministry for families, friends, neighborhoods, small groups, or sports teams. Anyone is welcome to serve with us! The Friendship Center is a faith based non profit community center. We are located in the heart of Des Moines, More specifically the Martin Luther King area. We offer many programs for our "friends" and community, from education, to fiances and more. The Friendship Center serves over 3,000 "friends" each year. All while sharing the good news of Jesus to Iowa.
One of our biggest ministries always in need is our meal programs. This is a great way to serve without a long term commitment. You can make this ministry fit into your schedule or season. We serve four meals to our community, newborns to elderly. No one is ever turned away.
"I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in." Matthew 25:35
