Family Promise Coordinators
Please help provide meals to our Family Promise guests until we can once again welcome them into our congregational homes. You're invited to prepare a home-cooked meal or support our local restaurants and have food delivered to the Day Center where they are currently staying. And if you'd like, you're welcome to bring your own family and enjoy a socially-distanced meal together.
We currently have three families in the program, totaling six guests:
Tiffany and her nephew, Malik (5)
Jasmine and her daughter, Jayliana (2)
Brittanna and her daughter, London (6)
Please plan to provide dinner for seven people as a Family Promise staff member will be dining with our guests each evening. There are no allergies to accommodate. For those who might be wondering what to make, you'll find some inspirational family favorites below:
taco bar, breakfast for dinner, baked potato bar, pizza, turkey and stuffing, salad bar, chicken stir fry, pot roast with veggies, burgers (well done), brats, chicken (fried, rotisserie, baked), spiral ham, various casseroles, and Polish hot dogs
mashed potatoes, whole kernel corn, broccoli, macaroni & cheese, carrots, sweet potatoes, baked potatoes, green beans, cauliflower, rice, roasted veggies, baked beans, corn on the cob, Costco kale salad, and garlic bread
I'd also like to kindly ask everyone to please remember to indicate what you're providing for dinner which allows us to avoid having the same meals on back-to-back nights.
We are also requesting grab 'n go breakfast and lunch items for meals during the school/work week. We ask that these items be delivered on Sunday evenings and you can sign up via the Signup Genius.
When you arrive at the Day Center, you'll see a buzzer system to the left of the door. Press the code 02# for Family Promise and you will be buzzed in. If no one answers, please call Tracy's cell at 224.216.9780.
Thank you for your generous support during this difficult time!
