2020 BLA/PRNH Dual Invitational Swim Meet

This season's first of multiple small swim meets that BAC will be hosting will be on November 17th, 2020.  The BAC President has determined that each SENIOR TEAM family will be required to provide an adult worker for one (1) session to provide the necessary workers to staff this event.  We may need some extra workers to fill out the staff; we truly appreciate any additional volunteers your family can bring!  If you can provide extra workers please contact Jeff at [email protected] before signing up any.

The start times below for each job are firm, but the end times are estimates.  We will not know the exact end times until we get all the entries.

Pre Meet Set Up (3)

Set up crew will include work on: setting up the scoreboard, setting up the officials and timers tables, final computer set up, touchpad set up, equipment testing.

Clerk of Course

Monitor team check-ins, team payments, coordinate positive check-ins for distance events and time trials. Also, check-in coaches and verify their certification to be on deck.

Will be screening all athletes, officials and workers with BAC's COVID protocol

Meet Marshall

Jack of all trades. Will be assisting meet officials, swimmers, coaches and spectators as needed. Maintains an ongoing presence on the pool deck to address any needs.



Keep track of the action in the pool for the spectators and reports on meet information and meet vendors as needed

Head Timer

Gives intructions to the timers and set up the timers' clipboards. Holds a timers meeting 20 minutes before the start of the session and runs back up watches on each event.

This job must be trained before the meet. Minnesota Swimming provides the necessary information and certification. Please contact MSI for further information.

Safety Officer

Maintain pool deck presence in case of an emergency, minor first aid needs, etc. Must be certified and trained before meet. Comtact Head Coach to see if you have the necessary certification.

Pool Hallway Mask Monitor

Will monitor the pool hallway to make sure swimmers are wearing their masks outside of the pool area.

Pool Gallery Monitor

Will monitor the pool gallery to make sure all athletes are wearing a mask.

Timers (8)

Two timers per lane, one person operates the stopwatch and one person pushes the elctronic timing button at the finish of each race. Also responsible for identifying swimmers in their lane prior to the race and recording the stopwatch times.

Back Up Timer

Responsible for operating the electronic timing equipment and report discrepancies to meet officials.

Responsible for operating the results computer verifying results and compiles data for awards anbd posting results.

Will deliver each swimmer's mask to them at the end of their race to the opposite starting end after every race.

Post Meet Tear Down/Clean Up (2)

Tear down crews needed following the Saturday afternoon session. Clean up on Saturday will include: picking up any trash and disposing of it anywhere on the grounds, storing the timing equipment that is necessary, taking down offical and timers tents.
