Sign up HERE to support this beloved annual Hills Church fundraising tradition!
Calling all Hills Church Friends and Families! The Pumpkin Patch is returning this year!
There are THREE ways you can participate in the Pumpkin Patch excitement:
1)Sign up to join the volunteer team of pumpkin unloaders:
On October 9th, from 9am-12pm, bring your wheelbarrow, and as many helpers as you can find, and help us unload pumpkins onto the front lawn!
2)Sign up to take a sales shift or two:
From October 9th (1pm onward) through October 31st you will find opportunities to serve, by taking a two hour pumpkin patch sales shift! During these shifts, you will be responsible for greeting visitors, managing touchless sales of the pumpkins, and enjoying Fall in our New England town!
3)BUY A PUMPKIN!!
Proceeds from the sales of our Pumpkin Patch will support:
- The emergency relief efforts of the United Church of Christ in support of Haiti.
- Pumpkins USA and the Navajo Farming Communities in New Mexico.
The following measures have been taken to insure the safe participating of all our volunteers:
- Pumpkins delivered on pallets and unpacked outside (not inside of the truck) as to allow safe social distancing!
- Touchless sales and payment options!
- Directed traffic flow of visitors and volunteers with clear signage and instruction!
This year we will be adding an additional week to our pumpkin patch sales! We have extended our Patch in order to bring Fall cheer! The pumpkins will be delivered on October 9th, just prior to the date of the postponed Boston Marathon. With the race route bringing runners past the Hills Church, it is our hope that our beautiful New England Church with its lawn covered in pumpkins will bring joy to the runners as they race by (and even encourage additional opportunities to bring more visitors to our Pumpkin Patch!!)
SO SIGN UP! We NEED the blessing of VOLUNTEERS for TWO hour shifts, four times a day across seven days for THREE WEEKS! This will take all of our efforts! LET'S DO THIS!!!!
