Flight Day-Sept 21 Braveheart Properties

Get ready for your flight adventure!

Meet at the church at 8:00am for donuts & coffee. 

If you don't already have an Impact T-shirt, place your order at the T-shirt table and we will get one ordered for you. 

Sign in with the team leader (Dave Tacy) at the Braveheart table in the lobby, check for any last minute instructions. Pray together as a team before leaving.  Our goal is to be leaving CAV by 8:20 

 

A feeding of the five thousand.

Thank you for your interest in our supplemental fresh food and feeding program.

Scope of work:

Planting our community garden beds with annual market crops and plant the individual planting beds at each residence.

 

Community garden #1

Group of approximately 5-10 individuals any age.

Remove tarp or ground cover as needed and pull any random weeds.

1- Create planting rows. 

2- Plant vegetable, herb and fruit crops. 

3- Mulch each planting area.

4- Water thoroughly.

Community garden #2 

Group of approximately 5-10 people any age.

Pull any weeds in raised beds.

1- Plant vegetable crops and vines in raised planter beds.

2- Cover with paper bags, cardboard, or weed cloth whatever we have available.

3- Mulch with straw or mulch.

4- Dig holes for trees.

5- Place soil amendments into hole.

6- Plant trees. Cover with cover and mulch.

7- Plant perennial plants in outside raised beds. 

8- trash pick up and misc.

 

Individual residents raised planter beds: 

Group of 3-5 people any age per house, six houses.

Remove any weeds

1- Plant provided seeds and vegetable transplants for the family.

2- chat with family and interact.

 

Tools needed:

Paper grocery bags, cardboard boxes with tape and staples removed,  as much as possible.

Bags of untreated cypress mulch.

Shovels, small and large. Straight rakes, hoes. Gloves, boots or closed toed shoes, because of fire ants,scissors a few pair for outside. Buckets. Plant markers and sharpies. 

We also always have weed eating and chainsaw work to be done as well as pressure washing if anyone is interested in those.

 

Braveheart will provide the seeds and food transplants as well as the place to plant them.
