Community of Hope is an opportunity to learn new ways of helping those around us connect and to offer one another care. This class, offered for the first time at Christ Church Cathedral, is designed for anyone who has a desire to care for fellow parishioners in a one-on-one setting. Developing training on how to help those in spiritual and emotional need answers Jesus’ call in a pro-active manner.
Participants will engage in a 12- to14-week course to learn about Benedictine theology, the art of pastoral care, Christian prayer and meditation, and grief care. Various speakers share their expertise over a meal and short Bible study each week.
Those who feel called to continue in Community of Hope meet regularly with Cathedral clergy to discuss and pray for those in the care of Community of Hope graduates.
Please feel free to reach out to Eric+ for more information.
Jesus calls us to help those in need when he calls us to love one another as he has loved us.
