Troop 629
Autrey Mill Nature Preserve is hosting a Conservation Day for Northern Ridge District scouts! Scouts will join either a 3-hour morning session or 3-hour afternoon session to work in groups of 6 with Autrey Mill on various conservation related items such as: storm water mitigation, butterfly garden protection, composting, invasive species removal, and Pink Lady Slipper (orchid) protection.
The event will offer 36 Scouts the ability to earn service hours. For STAR scouts working toward LIFE Rank requirements, these hours meet the "conservation related" portion of LIFE requirement #2: While a Star Scout, participate in six hours of service through one or more service projects approved by your Scoutmaster. At least 3 hours of this service must be conservation related.
Please note that you MUST register for an available timeslot below and:
- Be at least 13-years old
- Complete the Autrey Mill Volunteer Release Form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeiYdnypaRz6qbcc5HrTlYfr_N5nyKTvKYDgHaGM3yLYlbBbQ/viewform.
