Christ the King Lutheran Church
Once again, Christ the King will be preparing dinner for Family Promise clients. As we all know, this year is a little different. We will not be using Christ the King but will be delivering meals and purchasing groceries for two separate sites in Bozeman.
We’re now nearing our second two weeks of volunteering meals for the Family Promise families. There is a bit of a change from the process we previously followed. Family Promise now has two locations where they are housing families in need of food.
They are asking Christ the King to provide meals (and milk or juice as needed) to the families currently staying at their day center located at 429 E. Story St. There will probably be three families staying there during our two weeks of providing support. If you are providing a meal, we ask that you deliver it to the day center at about 6:00pm. Lucy Peterson will contact you a couple of days ahead of time to inform you of any food allergies you should be aware of when preparing the meal.
For the families staying at Roxy’s house (formerly known as the rectory) we will be providing groceries rather than meals. If you are unable to provide a meal but would like to help out, you can provide a monetary donation or grocery store gift card to be used to purchase groceries. You can provide your tax deductible contribution through CtK and designate it for Family Promise groceries.
We are grateful for your willingness to volunteer for this opportunity to serve!
