O'Hara Elementary PTO

Art Project Helpers

The O'Hara Art Department needs your help!  Students have been hard at work with some creative projects. We need helpers to display and assemble the final products. The two projects are detailed below.

Tuesday, February 26:  Kindergarten Koi Fish assembly and stringing up in commons area. (2-3 volunteers)

Helpers need to finish this project. There are approximately 60-80 koi fish that need 2 holes punched for string, 3-4 staples to create 3-D fish shape from flat paper art, then yarn cut and strung through each fish and onto long line that would hang from ceiling. Volunteers will use a ladder to tie strung fish up from hooks that will already be installed.

Time: 10:15 - 11:45

Friday, March 1: Second Grade Wings (2- 4 volunteers)

Each 2nd grade student created a feather. These feathers will be assembled together to create a pair of wings. Volunteers are needed to assemble the wings. This involves glueing/taping the feathers together on large paper in the shape of wings.

Time: 10:15 - 11:45

Monday, March 4 - Tentative slot for completing the two projects

Time: 10:15 - 11:45. Note: this slot will be canceled if not needed.

PLEASE NOTE:  Volunteers must have clearances and no younger siblings, please.
