St. Paul's Parishioners
The Greensboro-based Racial Equity Institute brings its two-day Phase I training to Cary for the first time. Moving the focus from individual bigotry and bias, the REI Phase 1 workshop presents a historical, cultural, structural and institutional analysis. REI believes that organizations often work for equity with multiple understandings of racism that rely more on personal feelings and popular opinion.
A small number of seats have been reserved in this otherwise full workshop specifically for St. Paul's parishioners, and the Outreach Support Team has set aside scholarship funding to help defray the cost for those who would otherwise be unable to attend. Email Father Javier ([email protected]) for more information about scholarship support. The full cost for both days including a light breakfast and lunch is $275 for first-time participants. Please make your check payable to St. Paul's and note Racial Equity Institute in the memo line. If paying for other individuals, please also include their names. The deadline to register is March 7.
THIS IS A TWO-DAY TRAINING -- APRIL 10 and 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. EACH DAY. PLEASE ONLY SIGN UP IF YOU CAN ATTEND BOTH FULL DAYS.
