Goods For Good
Goods For Good is thrilled to expand our partnership with Homes Not Borders and offer the community the opportunity to help refugee neighbors settle into a home.
G4G volunteers will move in furniture and household items, assemble furniture, make beds, wash dishes, set up kitchen, hang pictures, and build a welcoming home. All supplies provided and no previous experience necessary.
A Homes Not Borders' Liability Waiver will be sent to you upon sign-up and must be returned within 7 days of the project date.
Children ages 12 and older welcome. Please sign every individual you intend to bring in your group (if any) as a separate slot (including children). If signing up a child, please indicate their age and your name as parent in the "commnents" section of their slot.
Volunteers will meet at 9:30 am at 3610 East St. Landover MD to load up on furnishings before proceeding to the apartment for set-up. Some volunteers may meet directly at the apartment location (address TBA). The project will finish by or before 2:30 pm.
G4G will provide waters, snacks, and PB&J sandwiches, but volunteers are welcome to bring other food items desired. Please wear a mask.
Volunteers will receive information about their shift 5 days prior to the date.
