Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, located at 1515 S. Semoran in Orlando, operates a Food Pantry once each month. If you are in need of food, please arrive early and take a number. It is our first priority to serve you. If you do not need food but are willing to serve, please read further.
On Saturday, March 28th, the pantry will be open for distribution. However, to minimize the risk of any transmission of the coronavirus, we will be vigilant in the practice of social distancing, seeking to limit any contact between those helping in the distribution and the guests who come. All guests will be instructed to stay in their cars for distribution and the food will be placed in their trunks. Those who walk up to the distribution will also practice social distancing.
We will need additional volunteers for this distribution. All volunteers must be healthy, without preexisting conditions or risk factors which would make them susceptible to the coronavirus.
Volunteer roles include taking bags of food to a guest's car, helping direct traffic in and out of our campus, and taking required information from guests upon arrival.
If you are able to help, please RSVP below and sign up for a position. Please arrive by 7:30 so that instructions can be provided our doors open. Closed toe shoes are required as well as any red shirt to designate you as a volunteer. We promise that you will have a rewarding morning filled with putting food into the hands of those in need.
