East Central Neighborhood Association
The 42nd annual Old Washington Street Festival celebrates the architectural, cultural, and social heritage of Muncie’s Emily Kimbrough Historic District and the surrounding neighborhood from the Gas Boom Era (1880-1910). The festival features artist and craft vendors, musical entertainment, antiques, kids’ activities, music, demonstrations, food, historic home tour, and classic car show and street dance.
Please consider volunteering for one or more of the following:
- East Central Neighborhood Association Bean Booth – 2 hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday selling beans, water, hotdogs, apple cider slushes and t-shirts (No major food preparation required)
- Historic Home Tour -shifts from 12:30 to 2:30 and 2:30 to 5 on Saturday and Sunday sharing home information, stamping visitor tickets, and directing to other homes on the tour
- Information Booth – 2 hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday providing directions to visitors and volunteers and selling home tour tickets
- Classic Car Show – 2 hour shifts on Saturday assisting with registration and directions
All volunteers receive an Old Washington Street Festival t-shirt and home tour ticket. We request that all volunteers check in at the event Information Booth 30 minutes prior to their volunteer shift in order to receive directions.
