Parenting the iGen
Do you know what your kids are doing on their smartphones? The fact is our (pre)teens are living in a virtual world where everything they like, post, tweet, snap, follow, send and comment on will be scrutinized for years to come. This digital footprint will impact them in school, sports, relationships, college applications, interviews and even their future careers and families.
It is time for parents to get smart about technology and social media. We must keep our families safe from the pitfalls of being connected 24/7.
Keynote Speaker, Amie Konwinski, will lead a free 1.5-hour interactive workshop called, "Parenting the iGen," that is instrumental in educating and inspiring parents to have meaningful conversations and to make informed decisions about their family's technology and social media usage.
Tuesday, February 19, 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Mercy Academy (5801 Fegenbush Lane)
The iGen, or Generation Z, consists of those born in 1994 and later and were the first generation to grow up with a smart phone in their hand.
7:00pm - 8:30pm EST
5801 Fegenbush Ln, Louisville, KY 40228
