Sleep In Heavenly Peace (Kansas City SE Chapter)
We would like to thank the Kansas City Rotary Club for sponsoring 40 beds during our Annual Bunks Across America Build Day. On this one day chapters across the country will bring communities together for the sole purpose of buiding beds to serve children in their communities. Your commitment to the children and the communitees you serve is amazing.
We will have all Jackson County mandated precautions in place. Our builds will be spread out to allow for social distancing, mask will be required (please bring your own, we will have a limited supply on hand for those people without one) and all tools will be sanitized between use. In addition our builds are also held in open air environments .
This build will take place just east of Grain Valley on Colbern Rd, approximately 5 minutes from Blue Springs and Lee's Summit.
Come join us to build beds for kiddos who sleep on the floor or in other unfavorable conditions in our community. We welcome people of all ages and skill levels, there is a job for everyone, as we will have our trained team of volunteers on hand to help you through the process. This event is open to everyone 8 years of age or older (children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian). Minors 12 to 17 must have an online waiver completed by a parent or guardian prior to the build (see the link below). So grab your family and friends and come join us for a fun day of building beds to help children in our community get the good nights rest that they need. Be a part of our mission that "NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!"
