SWS is teaming up with Cama Beach Foundation to lead Low-Tide Beach Walks at Cama Beach on Camano.
The five "SUPER" Low Tide events with seining and aquarium are 6/18, 7/2, 7/16, 7/29 and 8/13. We are working closely with John Custer (Class of 2002) of the Cama Beach Foundation who has done this for many years. Check-in with JOHN CUSTER when you arrive. Authorized people (with permits) will sein for and bring samples to living tanks and then families will have the opportunity to see barnacles, fish and other living marine life up close.
MID-WEEK WALKS: Stewards are needed to help lead mid-week low tide beach walks for smaller groups, without seining and live tanks, on these dates: July 13-15, and August 9-12.
Joan, SWS Camano Coordinator will provide an orientation for new low tide walk leaders/helpers. You do not need to be an expert in intertidal life, you just need to be an explorer who enjoys people and low-tides. BRING your EZ-ID Cards.
