NOV: POP ART - WARHOL
Students will be introduced to the alternative artist, Andy Warhol and create their own pop art portrait, imitating Warhol's use of color and technique.
JAN/FEB: FLIP N' FOLD - The Art of Origami
This hands-on lesson introduces students to the beautiful and fun art of Origami.
APR/MAY: PICTURE ME – THE ART OF PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY
The students will learn about the background and techniques of portrait photography. They will examine portraits of immigrants to America and then try to apply the concepts of angle, light and framing as they photograph group portraits.
4RD GRADE CULTURAL EVENT: DIWALI – A FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS (OCT 26, 2018)
The cultural event is a unique lesson that provides students with a dynamic and fun experience in learning about the world around us. Events include performances, speakers and the opportunity to create artwork representing that culture.
*Please note in order to attend the cultural event you MUST attend the set up the night before. Please do not sign up unless you can attend both*
