Conversation volunteers needed!
Our Drikung Kagyu nun, Tsunma Yeshe, arrives today! Tsunma Yeshe is here as the first participant in the Drikung Acharya Nuns leadership program. We are excited that she will be staying with us through the end of February. While Tsunma is here she will be continuing to learn English and also to learn computer and leadership skills. She will lead our Sunday practices and attend tim's class on Wednesdays. (You can read more about Drikung Acharya Nuns Leadership Fellowship here.)
During Tsunma Yeshe's stay we are looking for individuals and families to participate in hositng her for conversational hours. What this entails is making arrangements with Ellen Marie to spend time with Tsunma during her stay. You can either talk with her at the home of Ellen Marie & Naomi or simply bring her to your home or a restaurant or a coffee shop and talk for an hour or so. If you have another event or activity that you think would be helpful for her - then we can talk about that too! This is a wonderful opportunity for you also to get to know a Tibetan nun.
I have put together a loose ideas of times that might work for conversation hours. You are welcome to sign up for more than one hour a week.
Thanks very much in advance,
|| Ellen Lauricella
