Southern Education Foundation

The M.E.T. Ball of Education Volunteer Committee

Come create a party with a purpose! This October, Southern Education Foundation (SEF) is hosting The M.E.T. Ball of Education at the Biltmore Ballrooms in Atlanta, Georgia.

SEF, founded as the Peabody Fund in 1867, works to ensure equity and excellence in education for K-12 and Higher Education students throughout the South. Previous affiliates include Dr. Benjamin E. Mays (Morehouse College), Booker T. Washington (Tuskegee University), W.E.B. DuBois and many more.

The M.E.T. Ball of Education is a black-tie affair recognizing magnificent equity trailblazers of education within the corporate sector, community, sports and entertainment industries.

SEF has a long-standing commitment to HBCUs which has included supporting accreditation efforts to establish many of the institutions as well as advancing research and technology on campuses.

This year’s M.E.T. Ball of Education’s theme embraces the culture and pride of historically black college and universities.

We are inviting the public, friends and all HBCU alumni and members of the Divine Nine organizations to support the event by joining the Volunteer Committee.

Celebrate the kick-off and enjoy light bites and beverages on Wednesday, July 24th during the July Mixer at the SEF Office in Downtown Atlanta from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
