St. Mark Church
The Saturday Food Program at St. Robert’s Center is a program of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc. that has been serving the low-income families and homeless population of Venice Beach and the Westside of Los Angeles for over 25 years. We serve 50-70+ street based individuals on Saturdays from 9a-2p with morning “Coffee Hour” and a nutritious brown bag lunch. The food pantry is also open to low-income families who need a little help with groceries for the week ahead. St. Robert's program runs with volunteers and we count on your help to pack grocery bags, greet our guests, make sandwiches, serve coffee, and keep our facility clean, tidy, and respectful. Can you make someone’s day a little brighter? Come join us! This is a wonderful family service opportunity as well (children ages 12 and older please)!
Please Bring: An open heart, a friendly smile, one case of bottled water/person. Any new or gently used, clean items listed below are also welcome:
Men’s socks & underwear (new packages please)
Men’s shorts, jeans, sweat pants
Men’s tshirts, sweatshirts, jackets (no dress clothes please)
Blankets, sleeping bags, tarps, towels
Small toiletry items (hand sanitizer, chapstick, lotion, body wash, tooth brushes
tooth paste, deodorant, razors)
