Thank you for volunteering as an overnight host at Alpharetta Presbyterian Church! We appreciate your time and dedication to this mission.
FAMILY PROMISE – APC – OVERNIGHT INSTRUCTIONS 2021
Shift Hours: 8:00pm – 7:00am
Access Code to lockbox will be emailed to you once you have signed up.
Enter doors facing Academy Street in front of circular driveway. Take one of the two cards from the box. Sign in at table. Turn right down the hallway. Pass the stairway doors on left and go through the Theatre. Room 102 is straight ahead. Around the corner from your room is the restroom.
The Family Promise backpack and APC’s Family Promise notebook will be in your room. The notebook has a spare set of keys, pad and pens, scissors, and scotch tape. Please bring your own linens and pillow. You might also want to bring a sleeping bag or air mattress, as the Family Promise mattresses are not particularly comfortable. A map of our facilities is in the notebook.
We have 3 families staying with us. Their rooms are to the left as you enter, Rms 206, 210, 211. We will have more specifics on them as we approach April 4. Each guest will have a key card to enter the building. Guests are expected to be back in the building, M-F, by 10:00pm.
A YouTube walkthrough video of the APC Family Promise setup is at:
Tom and Lisa Gould are the APC Family Promise Co-Chairs, and Shannon Pickerel is the Family Promise volunteer coordinator. Phone contact information is in your room.
Upon leaving in the morning, return the key card to the lockbox.
