Thank you for taking the time to sign up for Paralegal Perspectives Blog submissions. We are excited to see our members participate in making our Paralegal Division great! This is YOUR Paralegal Division. We couldn't make this work without you and your contribution is greatly appreciated.
Our goal is to have two member-inspired blog submissions each month in addition to the blog submissions regarding events and other matters that will be sent out by the NCBD PD membership on a regular basis.
Paralegal Perspectives Blog Posting Information
Paralegal Perspectives Blog is published bi-monthly to members of the NCBA Paralegal Division.
1. Blog Posting Details:
a. Educational, personal stories (work-related), ethics, mentorship, and the like.
b. Format - Blog posts accepted only in digital format, preferably Microsoft Word or Google Docs. We cannot use anything in PowerPoint for publication.
c. Length -
i. Title-7 words or less
ii. Article length - max of 1500 words
d. Information needed from the author
i. Name as preferred for byline including credential
ii. Email address
iii. Brief biography – maximum of 150 words
iv. Relaxed photo at least 300 dpi in jpg format. The photo need not be a professional headshot as long as you are the only one in the photograph.
2. Editing: It is important for authors to understand that the Division reserves the right to edit—if necessary. Such editing is not undertaken lightly. Considerable effort goes into preserving the author’s creative voice during the editing process. Edited blog posts are returned to authors for review prior to publication to ensure that nothing has been misconstrued.
3. When you sign up for a particular month, your blog post submission will be due for review on the first of that month. For example, if you sign up for February 2019, your blog post would be due on February 1, 2019.
4. When you are ready, you can submit blog posts to Communications Committee Co-Chairs at [email protected]. We will then review and prepare for publishing on the blog.
Thank you in advance for your contribution!
