PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY
This sign up genius is for pitchers and catchers in Bloomington Fastpitch ONLY who will be playing for BFA during the 2019 Summer Season. Payments will be made to BFA and must be paid at the 1st clinic date.
The sign up is on a first come first serve basis for our pitching and catching clinics. Please note that in order to receive the subsidized clinic price for pitching and catching ALL pitchers and catchers are expected to attend an additional hour of practice time at one of our open gyms to help improve their specialized positions. We have multiple opportunities throughout the week for our pitchers/catchers to get in their extra hour of practice. All girls at the 8u/In House age levels are exempt from the extra hour of expected practice time for pitchers and catchers.
For pitchers this extra hour of pitching practice is in addition to the scheduled clinic time led by an instructor. At the end of the session pitchers will need to document and turn into their pitching instructors when they practiced their additional hour of practice time and instructors will need to sign off on it.
Catchers will also need to practice an additional hour of catching time outside of the regular weekly catching session on Wednesdays. A catcher may choose to either catch for a pitcher during the scheduled pitching clinics or come in with a pitcher during our multiple open gym times to complete the additional hour of catching practice time. At the end of the session catchers will need to document and turn into their catching instructor when they practiced their additional hour of practice time and coach's will need to sign off on it.
We are aware there may be a special circumstances where your daughter may not be able to attend a week of clinics or an extra hour of practice during the week. If there is a week where your daughter will miss please inform her pitching instructor.
The intention behind this new guideline for our pitchers and catchers is to ensure they are making their time worth while at the clinics and applying what they are learning with the instructors during that additional hour of practice time. We want to help our girls to be as successful as they can. We are excited they want to explore these specialized positions and in order to ensure they have success on the field in these positions we must first ensure they are putting in the proper practice time that these specialized positions merit.
When registering for the clinics please note that we only have the 1st date of the session listed. By signing up for the first date you are committing to the entire 1st Session.
