Millard North Band
Bus chaperoning is a fun way to spend quality time with some awesome young people and meet other band parents. Plan for this to be an all day event ending around 10 pm. We usually get an arrival time from Mr P. about 10 days ahead.
Chaperones arrive at MNHS at the same time the students report. While they take attendance and get their game faces on, chaperones meet in the band hall by the trophy cases outside Mr P's office. Basic responsibilities include riding the bus to/from the competition, supervising the students at the competition, uniform checks, taming stray pieces of hair with an abundant amount of bobby pins and hairspray, and cheering loudly during the performance. Our main goal is to not lose anybody during the day. If you can parent, you can chaperone! Each new chaperone will be paired with an experienced chaperone so they can learn the tricks of the trade.
