Shabbat Sasson

Shabbat Sasson January 10, 2020

Join our musical Kabbalat Shabbat service, Shabbat Sasson ("sasson" means joy), in Phillip's Library with musicians of all ages from our congregation. This energetic prayer experience will be full of new and old tunes. It will be followed by a dairy/pareve community potluck dinner. Please RSVP below for the Shabbat Sasson service and/or dinner.

If you are staying for dinner, please let us know what you will be bringing. For every two people in your party attending dinner, please sign up to bring one item. For example, a party of four would sign up for two items, each item feeding 8-10 people. If you have a kosher home, you may prepare and bring a hot dairy/pareve dish in your own dish. Please wrap it well as we will not be reheating food. If you do not have a kosher home, you may bring an uncooked, cold item or a purchased item whose ingredients are kosher (they do not need a hechsher).  If your kitchen is not kosher, please bring your contribution in a previously unused, disposable container. If you have any questions about food, please contact Fern Meharg at [email protected] or Cheryl Eppsteiner at [email protected]

BYOW (bring your own wine) if you would like to drink wine with your dinner. Grape juice will be provided for the kiddush.
