THIS IS A FRIDAY EVENING JOB! (The night before the race 6:30 - 7:00 PM) Collecting track ("coffin") and flag stands from Pack storage unit off Stuebner and delivering to Cafeteria. Must have truck or trailer. Requires heavy lifting!

Consistently manages the starting-gate for all races. This is the busiest and most important activity of the race, and can be stressful. It consists of 3 roles – QUEUE, CONTROL, and CHECK/VERIFY:

Finish-Line (2)

Controls the finish-line (aka keeping kids off the track), hands-out “Heat Awards” for each Race, monitors the track during the races to insure ‘debris’ is removed quickly, and helps insure activities flow smoothly

 

Entertainment, Disputes and Crowd Control (3)

Provide entertainment and Filler activities (e.g. cheers, songs, etc.) throughout the day or on demand, (*) act as the governing body if required to settle disputes related to Check-in or during races (* = Race Committee), plus provide general crowd contr

Hands-out the awards (Trophies and Medals) on race day (preferably the Pack Cubmaster)

Lead / Assist in disassembling and packing away track and all other PWD items.
