Generic Ministry // Sandwich Making
This is the sign-up for Generic Ministry's SUMMER 2019 Sandwich Making.
We are so grateful for your interest in helping Generic Ministry bring necessities to people living on the streets in Boston. On both Tuesday and Wednesday nights, Generic Ministry volunteers will take these meals on our van and head into Boston. We'll hand-deliver them, along with clean, dry clothing and self-care items, to our homeless clients.
Read more about our work at www.genericministry.org. Consider signing up to take the van into Boston to deliver these meals and other supplies. Sign up for our newsletter and follow us on Facebook and Instagram, too.
In order to create 70-80 bagged meals, you will need the following:
9 loaves of bread
7 pounds of lunch meat (2 slices per sandwich)
4 pounds of cheese (1 slice per sandwich)
2 bottles of mustard
70 snacks (i.e. small bags of potato chips from Costco)
70 pieces of fruit
2 cases of bottled water
70+ brown lunch bags
70+ sandwich baggies
Plastic gloves to wear when making sandwiches
The sandwiches need to be delivered by Tuesday at 5:00 PM to the garage at 701 Webster Street in Needham. Walk around to the left side of the garage and enter through the door. A refrigerator is directly inside. Simply put the bags in the refrigerator and leave the cases of water on the ground. Please feel free to call Kristen at 617-833-5574 if you have any trouble.
