BSD Clothes Closet
The Beaverton School's Clothes Closet is a volunteer service organization that provides clothing for children in grades K-12 that are enrolled in a Beaverton School. Students can find gently used school-type clothing such as- jeans, shoes, t-shirts, sweatshirts, warm coats, and brand new socks and underwear. Beaverton School District parent groups and community volunteers staff the Clothes Closet throughout the year.

There are 6 shifts that need to be staffed, each with 4-5 people. However- because this is an off campus event it is open to anyone who would like to help, not just BSD registered volunteers. Feel free to ask neighbors, friends, family members, etc. to sign up to help, but children must stay at home (this is a very important ask directly from BSD).
The Clothes Closet is located at the BSD Administration Building 16550 SW Merlo Rd. Beaverton, OR 97006. It's inside the outbuilding across the parking lot from the main admin entrance.
Tasks during your shift may include helping students/parents find items, checking them in/out, helping to stock the floor, answering questions, and helping in the sorting room. I volunteered at the Clothes Closet last year and it's all very easy; you'll catch on fast. Not only that, but it's a very rewarding experience!
If you know someone who would like to help out, please send this sign up to them, or you may sign up for them (as long as they know that you are so).
