Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region
Before joining our volunteer team, we want to help you decide if you are a good fit for our organization and if we are a good fit for you! At the Info Night, you will learn about our organization, our mission and our policies. We will take a tour of our facility as well as provide information about our current volunteer needs and the commitment we ask from you.
As per our website, Orientations typically occur on the last Saturday of the month. If you cannot attend this month's Orientation, please consider attending a future Info Night instead. Volunteers must have attended an Info Night in order to attend an orientation.
We will be meeting in the Whiskers and Wags Training Center, which is located on the northwest corner of the building. When you arrive, you will go on the west side of the building, through the black iron gate, all the way to the end (past the Veterinary Clinic, past the dumpsters) where there is a glass door and windows, just before the Admissions Lost and Found Lobby. The door will be unlocked at 5pm.
Please consider giving yourself extra time when coming to the shelter if you are driving on the Interstate. Sometimes, traffic can be a little heavy at that time of day. Additionally, parking can be difficult so please give yourself a few minutes for that too. There is no dress code – just wear something comfortable. You may want to bring a sweater or light jacket as sometimes the room temperature can vary. Also, we do not have vending machines, so feel free to bring a bottle of water or other beverage with you.
SEAT RESERVATION IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO ATTEND - Only those who have RSVP'd may attend; we're sorry but children under 12 years of age are not allowed to attend the Volunteer Info Night.
