We invite you to join us for worship in the Sanctuary or outside during the months of April and May. Please note the planned location on the sign-ups below. If there is bad weather on a Sunday scheduled for outside, the service will be held in the Sanctuary.
The health and safety of our members is our top priority so we are taking precautions per the CDC, keeping in mind considerations unique to RHCC. We look forward to welcoming you back to in-person worship but wish to remind you that there are inherent risks in attending public worship during this pandemic. We ask for your cooperation with all of the following directives that have been put in place for your safety and the safety of our clergy and your fellow worshipers.
• Stay Home and Stay Safe: Before you decide if you should attend the service please consider the following risks: compromised or underlying health issues, your age, or if you or any member of your household has been sick or exposed to someone who has had Covid-19 in the last month. We will continue posting the virtual service online for those who cannot or choose not to attend a service in the Sanctuary.
Please review the following guidelines in preparation for attending any in-person service.
• Pre-Registration: You must pre-register to attend a service in the Sanctuary or outside the church. Attendance in the Sanctuary is currently limited to 45 people, and outside services to 60. If there is a question about the weather for outside services, anyone signing up above 45 people will be put on a waiting list. You can pre-register on the form below or call the Church Office at 203-869-1091.
• Planning Ahead:
Please arrive 15 minutes before the service begins. You must be wearing a mask before entering the church or the outside worship area.
An Usher will take your temperature and seat you. Please remain seated with your mask on throughout the service.
The floors are marked w/ directional tape and 6-foot distances are indicated. Please remain physically distanced from other parishioners during the time you are on campus.
In-person Coffee Hour has been suspended until further notice but you can join our Virtual Coffee Hour every Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
Please plan ahead. Bathroom occupancy is one person at a time. This will greatly increase the time it takes to use the bathroom.
We have touchless hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the building. Please use them.
Anyone not wishing to adhere to the above guidelines will be asked to leave the service.
If you test positive for COVID-19 and have attended a service, please call the Office immediately, so we can notify others who were at the service. We will not share your name with anyone.
COVID-19 is a serious and highly communicable disease. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and individuals with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where groups of people are present. Although RHCC is taking all possible precautions to ensure a safe and sanitary place to gather for worship and asking all attendees to observe certain precautions, there remains no assurance of protection from exposure to COVID-19 while at RHCC worship services. The risk of exposure to COVID-19 is voluntarily assumed by all attendees.
By submitting my registration to attend in-person worship, I hereby agree to adhere to all of the above guidelines and release RHCC from any and all liability after having read the "Informed Consent" above.
