Community Cooking Nights are when we gather to cook the food that will be served through the truck on Tuesdays at lunch.
No experience necessary to be a Community Cook! Come if you love cooking, want to learn more, or just enjoy being with people and eating good food.
The nights will run like a relaxed cooking class and community meal - we'll first have a brief kitchen orientation with safety and cooking basics, then we'll dive into making several recipes from scratch - soups, salads, sandwiches, baked goods, etc. Once things are ready, we'll eat together - sampling our good work, then clean up and wrap the food up to be served the next day.
A Few Notes:
Ages 12 and up are welcome. Kids are recommended to have at least one adult supervisor.
Please come with closed-toed shoes, and with your hair restrained (either pulled back, or with a hat or bandana to cover it.) Feel free to bring an apron from home if you'd like.
Come, cook, bake, mix, taste and see that the Lord is good!
