Something Borrowed Events

Something Borrowed Events will be hosting a BYOC (Bring Your Own Camera) Holiday Photo Op! We understand how hectic life can get and how expensive it can be to hire a photographer for holiday photos. That's why we've created Christmas photo sets for your family to take holiday pictures with! All you have to do is bring your loved ones and a camera! We will have people here to help take your photo, help to position your group, and make silly faces to capture the attention of babies and pets! The best part is, you can take loads of photos and all of your pictures will go home with you on your own camera! This year, we will have not one, but three photo areas set up! The first will be the Christmas Truck set, the second will be the Candlelight Mantle and the third will be the Merry TeePee scene. Check out pictures of each set below in the discussion tab of the event, or on our main page, Something Borrowed Events! The cost is $30.00 for each individual scene. We will have four dates to choose from this year, Saturday, November 5th, Sunday, November 6th, Saturday, November 12th and Sunday, November 13th. If you would like to sign up for a 15 min time slot, please sign up on SignUpGenius with the links below. Instead of paying a retainer fee to hold your spot, we will now be requiring that you pay in full, upfront. This will be a NONREFUNDABLE deposit of the total cost of your sessions. Please make sure you, and everyone in your party, is able to make the session before booking. Each set (The Christmas Truck, Candlelight Mantle, and The Merry TeePee) will require separate sign ups! PLEASE read the SignUpGenius directions below! Just remember, if you would like to take pictures with more than one scene you must sign up for them separately online! While you wait for your slot you can enjoy a free cup of hot cocoa! We understand that you may not like the quality picture that your camera can take. We encourage you to bring along your favorite family photographer! I can also take your picture at all of the scenes you are signed up for, with our camera, for an extra $30.00. The pictures that I take on my camera will be emailed to you within a few days of the event, but they will not be edited or touched up. If you would like us to take the photos on our camera, we are requiring that you sign up ahead of time! To sign up to use our camera, please direct message us or send an email! If you would like to use your own camera, there is no extra fee for us to take your photos!

If there is inclimate weather, please keep an eye out on this page for updates. Because some of our props this year cannot be moved, we will have a rain date of Sunday, November 20th. Fingers Crossed we don’t need to use it! We can’t wait to see everyone this year! We always love admiring the cute outfits you all come up with! :)

In the event that you would need to cancel your slot, we ask that you call or email us ahead of time to let us know. If it is before the event, a message on facebook or an email is fine, but if it is the day of the event, we require that you call us at (717) 712-7123. Most times, we have a waiting list of people that would like to sign up, so this allows us to contact them for a slot. Even if it is just minutes before your slot, we would still like a phone call letting us know you are not able to make it. In the event that you do not call, or let us know ahead of time that you cannot make it, you will be placed on a “no-call, no-show” list. If you are a “no-call no-show”, two times, you will not be allowed to sign up for these events anymore. We really hate to have to implement this policy, but unfortunately this happens more than you would think.
In the event of inclement weather, we will notify you via the email you signed up with, as well as posts on Facebook, stating that we will be rescheduling. There have also been days where the weather cooperates in the morning, but gets ugly as the day goes on. If you are signed up for a slot, and the weather is not looking good, you can always call to check that we are still holding the event, and if we need to cancel for the rest of the day, we will be calling you on the phone number you provided, to let you know. In the event of inclement weather, we always try to offer a rain date. If there is a set rain date, posted when the sign ups go live, please make sure to write this date down in your calendar. If you cannot make it to the rain date that will be provided, you will be refunded your deposit money, minus $5. This is an administrative fee that covers all of the background work we do to fill your slot if you cannot make it. Date:
