Participate in a life changing opportunity: prepare and serve a meal for members of Thriving Together, formerly Circles, in support of their journey to move out of the cycle of poverty and thrive! Thriving Together is very closely related to the Circles program and works to address poverty by increasing the capacity of communities and individuals. The approach combines best practices in goal setting, financial literacy, mentoring, peer-to-peer counseling and learning, and child/youth development. When we encircle ourselves with positive support through mentorship, education and training, and the right resources anything is possible. Each group is a continual source of influence, each linking to the other and creating the greatest impact.
Be a very special partner to those participating in this life-changing program by preparing and serving a meal prior to the weekly gathering. We meet at Fairhaven Church (corner of Whipp Rd. and Marshall) at 5 pm and wrap-up around 7:30pm. Come on your own, serve with your family or with a small group! Few opportunities in life offer such a rich and relationship-driven experience in only 2 1/2 hours.
