Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the William & Mary Global Film Festival! Volunteers are an essential part of making the festival a success and we appreciate your support. Please read the description below of volunteer responsibilities, requirements, and perks.
REQUIREMENTS
Volunteers must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Attend the Volunteer Orientation Session on Wednesday, January 30 at 5:30 PM at the Reeder Media Center in Swem Library. Pizza will be provided.
- Wear their volunteer badge at all times during their shift.
- Observe all policies and procedures outlined in the Volunteer Code of Conduct.
- Work at least two shifts during the festival.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties for volunteers based in the Kimball Theatre may include:
- Passing out programs
- Staffing the Will Call table
- Managing the rush line
- Tearing tickets
- Ushering guests to their seats
- Answering questions
- Assisting with theater set-up and cleanup
Duties for volunteers based in Tucker Theater may include:
- Passing out programs
- Answering questions
- Introducing the filmmakers
- Assisting with theater set-up and cleanup
Duties for volunteers based in Reeder Media Center may include:
- Checking in attendees
- Assisting with set-up and cleanup
- Answering questions
- Managing the standby line for workshops that are at capacity
PERKS
Volunteers will receive free festival merch (choice between tote bag or mug).
