Super Bowl Outreach
Thank you for signing up to volunteer for our 2019 Super Bowl Outreach. Please read this message in its entirety.
The volunteer schedule was revised due to the inclement weather warning.
All volunteers who will serve on the Street Team must complete Advocate Training. This training is available once a month, usually on a Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The training gives an overview of Tabitha's House, human trafficking, and homelessness. We will have additional training on Thursday, January 31st from 6pm-8:30p at the Tabitha's House Resource Center, 4650 Flat Shoals Parkway, Decatur, GA. Registration is required. Visit www.tabithashouseint.org to register for the training if you did not attend on Saturday, Jan 26th.
Volunteers must be 18 years old and able to walk for prolonged periods, stand for 2 hours or so, and lift things like large trash bags, boxes of food, serve food, etc. Please check the weather and dress for temperatures that may be below freezing. Wear comfortable shoes, warm clothes, gloves/mittens, and a coat. If you did not complete Advocate Training, you will be stationed at Tabitha's House Resource Center. At this location, you will prepare care packages, organize donations, and serve people who may come to the resource center. All volunteers must complete the Volunteer Agreement. This form will be provided to all volunteers at the beginning of the shift.
Thank you for serving and we look forward to working together to make a difference!
