Welcome to the volunteer sign ups for the Annual Fall City Apple Festival, Sunday September 11th. The proceeds from the festival benefit the non-profit NWNHC Family Fund that provides healing retreats for our military families and scholarships for the horse crazy kids of families who are struggling. Through the Warrior Family Retreats military personnel and their family can get away to the country for a weekend retreat and family healing time. Since 2010 the program has helped military families address the transition challenges experienced by their soldier or sailor returning from a long separation and the realities of war. Support of the Apple Festival helps us say "thank you for your service" to all members of the family who serve.
We need your help to make the Apple Festival successful! The day is very fun and we have volunteer opportunities across a number of activities - apple crushing and cider making, cider sales, parking, ticket sales, kids activities, apple pie and cider contest and more!
Please review the available times and dates where we need volunteers. There are multiple activities so click at the bottom of the page to advance the sign up sheet. We have slots for apple picking two weeks before the festival, times for set up the day before, and activities for the day of the festival!
Let us know if you are also interested in volunteering at the Warrior Family Retreats. Just answer the question when you sign up and we will send you additional information. It's a great way to get volunteer hours for school, and see how the military families benefit from your support.
