KIWANIS KIDS TENT at the BATAVIA FARMERS MARKET

Our weekly Kids Tent activities are educational, market-related, free to attend, and just plain fun! Activities vary weekly and have included in the past, crafts, creature visits, outdoor bowling, giveaways and more!!! Coloring pages are allowed as long as it is supplementary and does not act as the primary activity.

The Kiwanis Club of Batavia provides a 10’x10’ space, tent, tent weights, and a table for your scheduled Saturday. You are responsible for tent, and table set up, as well as your activity. Market volunteers may be available to help with set up. Please arrive at 7:30am to begin setup. The Market Manager will be onsite to direct you to your space and retrieve the tent from the MainStreet storage closet.

At your arrival you may pull your vehicle into the street to unload. After you unload, park in the surrounding street, or parking lots. Table coverings are needed, please bring a clean or disposable tablecloth with you.

The market is open every Saturday from 8:00am-12:00pm, rain or shine on River Street in downtown Batavia. Opening day for 2022 is Saturday May 28 and will run until Saturday October 29th. (There will not be a Kids Tent on October 29th due to BATFest.) In case of severe weather, the market will be cancelled. Please contact us in case of an emergency, if you are running late or will be absent.

Tent Policies:

You may sign people up for an email list as communication.

You may pass out information about your organization or future event.

You may giveaway items to promote your organization, ie: pencils, bags, etc.

No fundraising/solicitation at the Kids Tent.

No political parties or proselytizing.

By volunteering to host a weekend for the Kids Tent, you release, forever discharge and hold harmless the Batavia Farmers Market, the City of Batavia, the Kiwanis Club of Batavia and their successors and assigns, from any and all liability, claims and demands of whatever kind of nature, which arise or may hereafter arise from or in connection to my participation in the Batavia Farmers’ Market Kids Tent. I take full responsibility for all materials that I bring to the market.
