St Lukes has been the static site for Family Promise during the shelter in place order. Our Congregations will be providing support predominantly through grocery cards and gas cards for our week period in December. The families are able to use a kitchen at St Lukes to prepare their own meals. Family Promise is currently hosting three families, a mom with 3 children (ages 18, 14 and 13), a dad with 1 child (age 8), and a mom and dad with 3 children (ages 8, 6 and 5 months).
Thank you for your continued support of Family Promise. Please look at the sign up and choose which card you would like to donate. Many families are calling HQ for help and our staff there are helping in a number of ways. Any cards which are not used for the families on our week will be used for other families in need.
Please place your card in an envelope marked FAMILY PROMISE and include your name. All cards can be dropped of in the donation bin outside the church office at Mt Vernon Presbyterian any time before December 19 2020.471 Mount Vernon Hwy NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328
Our only host opportunities will be for overnight volunteers. An overnight host is important for our families safety and wellbeing.
The volunteer host room is on a different wing of the church but not far away, should any one need assistance. The overnight volunteer will arrive at 8:00 pm nightly and will be instructed which entrance to use etc once they sign up. This is the link to the special sign up genius created for the duration of the static site.
