FOOD PROVIDERS: All food needs to be either prepared in our semi-commericial licensed kitchen or purchase as a packaged item. If you would like to prepare the food at the FHC, schedule your food prep time between 4-5pm by calling the Family Promise Director, Becky Bishop at 406-239-5379.
We will be required to make 30 servings of fruit (kids love), and 30 servings of dessert on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday nights. Leftovers will be used on the other nights(Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday)
**New** A large bag or tub of lettuce(kids don't love so much) with Ranch dressing and croutons are required on Monday-to be served Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. A large bag or tub of lettuce with croutons are required on Thursday-to be served Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. One bottle of Ranch on Monday should last the week.
If you are bringing something that is purchased, please deliver by 5pm.
KITCHEN HELPERS should arrive by 5pm. Set up is from 5-5:30p. Serving food and clean up is from 5:30-8pm, or whenever everyone is finished. A folder containing all the kitchen helper duties can be found in the FHC kitchen.
Leftover fruit and dessert will be served on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Main dish leftovers will be served on Friday and Sunday. See **New** above for salad information/situation.
Ideally it would be great if you could bring a food item and stay to help in the kitchen. Be sure to sign up for both if you can do both!
LAUNDRY HELPERS: Volunteers are needed to do laundry (bedding and towels) when families leave the FHC. You will be called Monday night or Tuesday to be told whether or not there is laundry to do. If there is laundry, it can be done at the FHC (quarters provided), at home, or at a laundromat. Laundry should be picked up on Tuesday between 5 and 8 and returned to the FHC by the following Sunday.
OVERNIGHT HOST: One overnight host will be needed each night from 8pm to 7am. The host will sleep in a secure room with a bathroom and shower available. Bring your own bedding (a new California Twin size bed has been purchased for the host room!) and a towel. You will be assisting the YWCA staff member.
See job description for overnight host under RELATED FILES below for more details.
LOCATION: The Family Housing Center is at 1800 S 3rd West, one block west of the Good Food Store.
