Gala Volunteers 2020


Sign up to help with MVYSO's biggest and most fun fundraiser - The Gala!

When:  Saturday, February 1, 2020

Where: SeaTac Doubletree Hotel

Time:  6:30 - 10:30

VOLUNTEER TRAINING/ORIENTATION:  Wednesday, January 29 from 4:30 - 5:30 P.M. at the Maple Valley Library!  Please plan to attend!  This will make our evening run much smoother!

If you would like a Volunteer Buffet Ticket, please indicate so.  Tickets are $20 and are tax deductible as a volunteer expense.  This is a huge help to the bottom line of our most important fundraiser!  You may pay for your volunteer meal by bringing cash or check made out to MVYSO on the night of the event or by paying online on the Gala Page of the MVYSO website.  Volunteer buffet includes pasta bar, salad, garlic bread, soft drinks and dessert.  Please indicate if you need gluten free. This is an option, but they need to know how many will need this.

Help people find their seats after they check in. A great job for a mature Jr. Symphony student who is outgoing and likes to dress up.

 

Silent Auction Watchers (6)

Watch Silent Auction Tables for security purposes and to encourage bidding. Repeat after me "You KNOW you want that!" When the silent auction table closes, you'll help bring bid sheets to the check out people.

 

Item packing and pick up team (6)

Mature Jr. Symphony or Adult. NO Symphony Students. After the silent auction, you'll assist our volunteer coordinator by packing up purchased items and staging them for pick up.

 

Live Auction Bid Recorder (2)

Good job for a very Type A detail oriented "grown up!" Will be recording who purchased what items and who raised paddles for our fund-a-need.

 

Live Auction Spotters (6)

Encourage live auction bidding and point out & cheer when someone raises a bid card. It would be great if you could make pre-event meeting with the Emcee (date and time TBD). Great Job for Symphony Students or Adults.

 

Runners (2)

During the live auction, you'll run live auction bid sheets to the check out people.
